So, I finally found some time to take pictures of the cards that I have been making for the upcoming birthday parties.
So, I found inspiration from some blogs and I think that you should check them out because there are a lot of creative people out there!!!!
Stamping Still inspired this first card.
Lynn Pratt inspired my second card.
Mary Fish inspired my third card.
Catherine Pooler inspired my last card.

Forgot a Few Things....
So, after I posted my last blog my husband said that I skipped a few events. And I guess because I wasn't a part of the event which is probably why I forgot to share.
Well, as mentioned before Greg was on weekend duty for the past couple months which meant that he was off on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday's. One Tuesday, after Sean got out of school the two of them went to visit the Ome Railway Museum. It was an inexpensive adventure for the two to enjoy! Here is a link for more information about the museum: Ome Railway Museum
Well, it was too much longer after that Halloween came around and our little ones dressed up to impress. They attended Kids Klub at the E-club one night, Sean had a Fall Festival at his school and was able to dress up for that event (although, he wore a different costume), and just before Halloween Night we had the kids do a photo shoot with daddy. These pictures turned out to be some of my favorite!

Happy Veterans Day!!!!
It is the first weekend that my husband has been off in over 2 months and I get a head cold that keeps us home instead of out exploring this wonderful country! I took a little medicine and have been starting to feel better. I spent most of the day hanging out around the house with the kiddos, which got me to thinking about ALL of the birthday parties that we will be attending here in the next couple weeks. So, I went looking for inspiration to make some cards and wouldn't you know I made 3 of the 4 cards in one evening.
I set myself up with one goal in mind and that was to use the same stamp set in every card. I am testing myself to see how much I really use all of this stuff I have been buying!
***Pictures of my cards to be posted later***
The first party is for a little boy named Alex, he is going to be 2 years old and lives next door. It's funny how small the military is because his parents are also from Ohio and only an hour or so from our hometown. So, as a fellow Buckeye fan, I wanted to use red, black, and white as my color scheme. I found the perfect card and I copied it completely because it even had the name Alex on it. I got the idea from Stamping Still.
My next party is for Kaylee and she is turning 3 years old. She is a little princess from head to toe and likes everything girly. For my color scheme I chose melon mambo, lucky limeade, and whisper white. My inspiration for the card came from Lynn Pratt.
I then made a card for a little guy having his first birthday, Landon's mom told me that she is decorating his room in blue and green. With that as my inspiration, I went looking for a card idea and I found one from Mary Fish.
I still have one more card to make for Cody who is turning 4 years old. I will most likely work on this card tonight. And as for right now we are going out to let the kiddos run off some energy at the park.

Off to the Races
Sean started school last week and he took his teacher a beautiful handmade card. I think I even heard her squeal over it. And my son had never been more proud of one of his creations. As promised, here are pictures of his card. I allowed Sean to use a bag of scraps that had been given to me by my friend Gilda Fellows and some of the papers were already stamped so he cut around the stamps. I also got out my Big Shot and allowed my husband to cut some dies of Sean's choice. Lastly, he had found some stickers and then he was off into complete creative mode. I'm sure that there will be more of his work to share in the future.

Sunday, September 18 we took a bus ride to Twin Ring Motegi for the last Indy Car race to be held in Japan. We were able to attend this function because we are friends with some Boy Scouts who were able to secure some tickets and by doing so we were also able to go down to the pits and view the car prior to the race. My husband was in complete heaven because he got to play with his cameras. Here are just a few of my favorite pics that he took.

Well there hasn't been to much else going on around here. I have been trying to get some projects complete but then I get distracted or find out about a birthday and decide to switch gears. In the last few days I have made a couple of cards for my friends who have little ones turning 1 in the next week. I have found my inspiration for these cards from others and I would like to share them with you.

So, here is my gang of mischief makers!
Sean is 4 years old, he was born in Okinawa, Japan. Sean will be starting Sure Start (aka preschool) on Thursday, September 15. I am excited for him to make new friends and to develop more social relationships, however, I am also a little nervous about him riding the school bus. He has a love for doing everything that I am doing whether it be arts and crafts or baking in the kitchen. But don't let it be said that he doesn't enjoy being around his dad, who definitely is the more FUN parent.
Jackson is just over a year old and was born in Tachikawa, Japan (which is just outside of Tokyo). It really is true when they say that each child is completely different. This little guy knows how to EAT. He walks and almost runs behind his big brother. The two of them are almost inseparable. I truly love watching them together as they learn and explore life.
My husband is Greg and he is a member of the United States Air Force. It's his passion for photography that drives us to go out and explore the local area. In the last month, we have visited the East Imperial Gardens, Greg climbed Mt. Fuji, we played games at Joypolis, saw the animals at the Ueno Zoo, and a train ride to Hachioji just to see what's there.
We are Ohio State Buckeye fans and living overseas we don't always get to watch the game live (so no spoilers please). We use what some might call "the poor mans TIVO" = a VHS, to record the games and watch later but then there are times that the games are not even aired over here. :(
And then there is Me, I go by Chrissy and I love my life. I have always enjoyed baking goodies and getting to be a little crafty. Sometimes, I bake too much and have Greg take the "extras" to work for his co-workers. I am sure that all of the single people appreciate a little bit of home. I've been a scrapbooker for the past 8 years or so and in the last year I have added in card making along with other paper crafting.
As I mentioned earlier, Sean is beginning preschool this week and I had seen a tutorial at UStamp with Dawn and Friends (I Heart the Holidays 2011 event), that I just had to make for his NEW teacher. Here is the result of this find.
I made this box along with 24-3"x3" pinwheel cards that I CASEd from Monika Davis. I'll be sure to keep you all posted with his teacher's reaction to her gift!
